Total Arts Film Festival with Cambridge Junction Creative

Students at Spring Common Academy have been working with Cambridge Junction Creative Learning team, and filmmaker Pete Harmer, to co-create a short film for entry into our Total Arts Film Festival: Big Trouble Little Pictures on the 18th and 19th of June at The Light Cinema in Cambridge.

Our pupils have devised a story, written a script, filmed, acted and directed a short film across 3 days!

It was a thrill to see the whole class engaging in the activity - enjoying a real "lights, camera, action!" moment where our actors played a roving reporter interviewing a very stressed teacher. [Pictured].

"It has been incredible to watch our film-making students immerse themselves in the creative process over the past few days. I have witnessed first-hand the profound impact this wonderful opportunity has had on their confidence.

A huge thanks to Peter, Katie, and Oliver from the Junction for their effective collaboration and support. I am excited to see the final film showcased at the festival in June. Well done to everyone involved in this valuable experience!"
