Summer Fair 2024

On Friday 21st June, 2024 Spring Common Academy hosted their annual summer fair.

This event is always a big feature in our calendar, and this year was no exception. We would like to thank Hayley from Aeromarks and Kaylea from Keysoe Therapy Ponies for donating two hours of time with their therapy ponies Prince and Mouse.

We loved how hands on the visit was and how accommodating Keysoe staff members were for the different ability students who came along to see the ponies. We had many wonderful comments from the teachers and TAs who accompanied the students, and it was extremely heart-warming to see the joy on the students' faces as they interacted with the ponies. Outside in the sunshine, student after student engaged with the ponies with curiosity, joy and gentleness.

We also hosted numerous stalls indoors, with special thanks to Caretakers Jason and Anthony for building extra games stalls for our students to run alongside toy stalls, cake stalls, raffles and more.

Thanks to our generous community, the final total raised is £822.13. This generous sum will be spent on a water feature for the Post 16 sensory garden, and a donation to the Wood Green Group who provide horse-riding free of charge for our upper school students.

Thank you to all attendees, donors, parent/carers and to our students for putting on yet another fabulous summer fair. As we approach the end of term, it was wonderful to spend more time with you all, and we look forward to doing it all again next year.
